Project overview

This project involved creating a brand identity and visual system for a VR & AR showcase event in London. As a platform for cutting-edge immersive technology, the event aims to bring together colleagues from global markets, potential clients, investors and industry professionals. The brand must reflect the future-facing nature of virtual and augmented reality while being visually engaging, accessible, and exciting.

Objectives

Develop a striking and cohesive visual identity that captures the essence of innovation, creativity, and immersion.

Use bold imagery and expressive typography to bring a sense of motion, energy, and interactivity to the branding.

Design across a wide range of mediums—digital, print, environmental, and virtual interfaces—ensuring consistency and impact.

Target Audience

Tech professionals, Digital artists & designers, Internal Marketing and Design teams, Investors & business leaders.

Tone & Personality

Futuristic, Vibrant & dynamic, Clean and flexible.

Research & Initial Concepts

My initial research helped me decide the direction of the visual identity. I wanted to find a futuristic colour palette and by using bold gradients and neon hues I could evoke the sense of digital spaces and suggest forward-thinking tech. The inclusion of network patterns and geometric textures would further enhance this concept.

Further Exploration

At this stage I started to experiment with layouts, colour systems, textures and grids to establish the best approach moving forward.

Final Wordmark

For the final wordmark I chose a clean, modern sans-serifs that also had a futuristic / Sci-Fi feel. I increased the kerning and set the copy to white on a vibrant background which achieved a clean aesthetic.

Posters / Wayfinding

Posters for each area of the showcase were created alongside wayfinding signs.
